Final 2003
Australia defeated Spain 3-1
Melbourne, Australia November 28 - 30
Lleyton, Mark, Wayne and Todd took on Spain in the final, however this time the encounter was on home soil on a grass court. The boys avenged the ugly defeat they experienced in Spain 2000 where the crowd was hostile and abusive. In this tie each Australian team member posted a victory! Wayne and Todd were outstanding in the doubles, playing superb tennis while Lleyton and Mark each played a gruelling 5 setter, with Mark clinching the Cup in the 4th rubber. The Spanish team consisted of Ferrero, Moya, Lopez and the infamous Corretja.
