| Alissa's Lleyton experience at the Australian Open 2000 |
Well, the Aussie open was finally here and I got to go.. None of my friends wanted to go so for three days I walked around by myself...
The first day was a bit of a bore. I walked around just getting to know the place. I saw heaps of players on the warm up courts but I was only there for
one reason and that was to see LLEYTON!!!The second day I was in the Nike shop and I saw Lleyton's mum and dad standing in there so I went up and introduced myself. They were happy to
know that I was a fan and were kind enough to have a photo taken with me. After that I was off to show court 1 to watch Lleyton play doubles with Sandon Stolle. They kicked some American butt I might add.. After taking 2 films of Lleyton it was time to head back. The last day I was back at the practise courts watching Martina Hingis warm up when next thing Lleyton walked through the gate and swapped
spots with Martina. I was so happy. I pushed through the crowd to get to the fence. He warmed up for half an hour and then packed his things up.And to my surprise I was the first person he walked up to and signed autographs. He also forgot to give my texta back and used it on everyone else's
books, but I didn't mind. So I was face to face with LLEYTON HEWITT... And I ended up taking about 50 photos of him. After that thrill, I ran into his sister Jaslyn and got a photo with her.. She is very nice. Her and Lleyton are very alike.. I also ran into DARREN CAHILL, Lleyton's coach. I also got a photo with him..So that is my wonderful LLEYTON experience...
I can't wait for next years open. I'm counting down....
